A picture of pop star Taylor Swift spending time with the Deadpool 3 cast and crew over the weekend has rekindled the long-running speculations that she may make an appearance in the movie.

Swift was spotted watching the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets play in an NFL game on Sunday night in a video released by the Phase Zero – MCU account on Instagram. Director Shawn Levy and the principal actors of Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, were just behind her. Later, Levy himself shared a picture of the group, including Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively.

Levy made a notable caption after publishing the original video: “I’d rather be shooting our movie, but til then, nights like this’ll do.” Of course, this may just be a bunch of buddies having fun at a football game, and it’s by no means a guarantee that Swift will appear in Deadpool 3. Shawn Levy has acknowledged that some rumors about Deadpool 3 are accurate.

Swift is just one of the famous people who are reported to appear in Deadpool 3. When asked about rumors that Jennifer Garner may play Elektra again in the movie last month, Levy responded in an intriguing manner. I’ll just say that some of those things are accurate and some of them aren’t, because if I only read the internet, I’d have the finest cast ever assembled in the history of film.

Although production of Deadpool 3 has been put on hold while waiting for the SAG-AFTRA strike to end, the movie is still scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
