Cast of Gen V

An updated promotional clip for Gen V, the The Boys spinoff on Amazon Prime Video, has been modified to remove contentious leading man Chance Perdomo. “cast of gen v

Chance Perdomo plays Andre Anderson in the series, which is centered on Godolkin University, the place where future heroes are raised in the world of The Boys.

Since his father is the well-known hero known as Polarity, Anderson is a strong Super with magnetic abilities who comes from a legacy family. Anderson works hard in this series to live up to the strain that this legacy places on him.

An updated promotional video with the main cast of the program discussing the episodes was posted on Gen V’s official X (formerly Twitter) page. Chance Perdomo, an Andre Anderson actor who is currently embroiled in scandal, was one notable actor who wasn’t at all in the promo video.

While the Gen V ensemble was divided in half to respond to questions, one performer can be seen completely cropped out of the picture as only an arm and leg hazily enter the camera angle next to Lizze Broadway, who plays Emma Meyer.

Perdomo was the only obvious omission from Gen V’s cast of eight prominent young stars, seven of whom are shown in the video. Turning to a previous video broadcast before the uproar in which the Andre Anderson actor can be seen seated next to Broadway will confirm his digital removal.

Perdomo has drawn criticism on social media for favoriting and following contentious accounts and messages. This includes a number of profiles for individuals who are believed to be misogynistic and transphobic, such as Andrew Tate. He is also alleged to have expressed contentious views on the anti-vaccine movement and the defamation lawsuit involving actor Johnny Depp.

Will Gen V Replace Chance Perdomo?

Chance Perdomo is still appearing on screen in Gen V Season 1, and as of right now, none of the parties involved in this contentious situation have released an official statement.

This report only raises greater alarm as Generation V develops in a year that has seen controversy surrounding the superhero genre (see the domestic abuse case involving Jonathan Majors and Amber Heard’s defamation action against Johnny Depp).

It’s tough to predict whether Chance Perdomo will be replaced because the program hasn’t been formally renewed for a Season 2, but depending on how things pan out, Prime Video may have to make some difficult choices later on.

Perdomo had been participating in the promotion of the show up until recently, but his most recent actions may keep him out of the spotlight until the reaction has a chance to pass.

Gen V’s first five episodes are currently available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
