The actress previously expressed some optimism about a potential comeback, saying she’d make one “in a heartbeat.” But unhappily, not only has Woll allegedly not received a call from Marvel, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, neither she nor Elden Henson are anticipated to make a comeback.
Woll was recently spotted at ICCCon in Nashville, Tennessee, with former castmates Royce Johnson, Charlie Cox, and Vincent D’Onofrio, despite the actress not yet appearing to be joining the impending Disney+ revival.

Deborah Ann Woll, star of Daredevil, provided fans with a discouraging update on her potential comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming Born Again series while she was in attendance at ICCCon in Nashville, Tennessee.
The actress was first questioned regarding her potential participation in any next DC Studios film, which Woll wasn’t even sure she could do:
I’m not sure if they permit us to do that. Do I have permission to cross the waters. That seems like it would be highly risky. Yes, there are a select few that are capable of doing it, but I’m not sure if I’m one of them. About DC, I know nothing.
Ultimately, she stated that there are “no plans for [her] so far on either side of the comic book universe,” referring to her absence from Born Again: The Movie.
“You know, it was incredibly amazing to be a part of [Daredevil], and I think that it was such a special little niche inside the MCU… There are currently no plans for me outside of the comic book universe, but I’m quite grateful for the experience I had. I’m genuinely delighted with what I’ve experienced.

Since Karen Page plays a significant role in Matt Murdock’s life, many fans are perplexed by what appears to be her absence from Daredevil: Born Again.
Matt Murdock might have to live in a world without the woman he loves if she is killed offscreen. However, it is difficult to see why Marvel Studios would blow the chance to use Woll more wisely.
Even if Foggy Nelson and Karen Page might not be coming back, there will still be some recognizable faces.
Of course there is the Kingpin played by Vincent D’Onofrio, but Jonathan Bernthal’s legendary Punisher will also be reentering the conflict. His position in the narrative allegedly belonged to Jessica Jones, played by Kristen Ritter, in the past.
As for when viewers would be able to watch the show, it was initially scheduled to premiere sometime next Spring. The project’s production has slowed down due to the ongoing Hollywood writers’ strike, which might possibly lead its premiere to slide from its currently scheduled Spring 2024 date.
