Rumors Abound Regarding Upcoming DC Universe Cast Members
Corenswet and Hoult, in particular, have generated a lot of buzz since their roles were announced, with Corenswet drawing a lot of comparisons to Man of Steel predecessor Henry Cavill. After Ayer directed the original Suicide Squad film in 2016, Gunn took over to direct the 2021 sequel, The Suicide Squad. The DCEU universe is now set to come to an end, with Gunn and Peter Safran launching their all-new continuity known as the DCU. Because of the change in leadership at DC Studios, fans believe that Ayer’s desire to see his director’s cut of Suicide Squad released will never come true.
