With the release of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki Season 2 in 2023 during Phase 5, Marvel Studios will for the first time in the history of the MCU give one of its live-action Disney+ shows a second season. Hiddleston will move on to probably his biggest MCU adventure yet, one that sends him plummeting through space and time, after more than a decade of film roles and finishing all of Season 1.
Selected fans at the 2022 D23 Fan Expo got the opportunity to view an exclusive preview for Loki’s next episodes, which reunites the complete ensemble from Season 1 with a few significant new characters. Even Ke Huy Quan, who starred in Everything Everywhere All at Once and Indiana Jones, is included in this list, however there are still plenty of other surprises in store for viewers who experienced the frantic action that will be coming to Disney+ in 2019.
The general public will still need to wait a few more months before seeing anything from Loki Season 2, even if its first teaser made headlines during D23. Phase 5 isn’t even scheduled to formally begin until Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania releases in February 2023.
The God of Mischief is making a comeback, and The Direct is here to tease you with more than a dozen significant Easter eggs and moments from that video.
1.) Loki Errors Across the TVA
Loki notices a person flipping through a little notebook as he strolls through the offices of the Time Variance Authority and finds himself glitching and being transferred somewhere else. This could be the first of many occurrences of this occuring throughout the series, given how Season 1 concluded with the Multiverse destabilizing as a result of He Who Remains’ death.
Loki also says, “War is on the way,” later in the video, alluding to the Multiversal War that Kang the Conqueror’s first MCU variant alluded to in his monologue from the Citadel at the End of Time. This error should only be the first brick in that titanic struggle.
2.) Does Loki Understand the TVA’s Power? | loki season 2 official trailer
Later in the teaser, Loki enters a green and white area that is brightly lit, and the camera then captures the God of Mischief’s surprised visage.
Another crucial player who is responsible for the TVA’s existence may now come to light because Loki is aware of how significant this individual is. One of the key puzzles that fans eagerly anticipate being solved during the season will be whether it’s another Kang Variant or a different significant figure from Marvel lore.

When Loki uses a pruning baton from the Minutemen on a wall fresco showing the Time-Keepers and the Sacred Timeline, three statues of Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror are revealed. He Who Remains, Kang’s Variant, may have served as inspiration for the figure standing to his right, as he is dressed in purple robes and gold bands.
This figure might be a variation of Rama Tut, one of the first Kang Variants in the cosmos, according to the art, which is arguably of Egyptian provenance. Could this be a hint that Season 2 will go deeper into Kang’s past?
4.) Blue Head on the Ground, Decapitated | loki season 2 official trailer
A chopped-off blue head lying on the ground in front of that painting resembles the beheaded Time-Keeper robot from the conclusion of Season 1 Episode 4 and is blue in color. While it’s possible that one of the Time-Keepers is returning to assault Loki and Mobius (who is also in the room), it’s also possible that this is just the same space that the Time-Keepers previously occupied.
Fans should learn more about Kang’s extensive time in the MCU from this entire scene, which will undoubtedly go back thousands of years in time.
5.) TVA Archive Worker Ke Huy Quan | loki season 2 official trailer
Loki and Mobius next see Ke Huy Quan’s figure, who is undoubtedly a TVA Archivist, in a brightly lighted, antique-looking chamber full with knickknacks and relics. The heroic couple receives a gift from Quan, who briefly appears, smiles, and looks to be on their side based on his demeanor.
In the early episodes of Season 1, we saw objects comparable to those in the TVA desk agents’ drawers, including Casey’s drawer full of seized Infinity Stones, in this area, which is probably the TVA archive.
6.) Sylvie Dances to the Music | loki season 2 official trailer
Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino, makes a triumphant comeback, albeit she appears even more at ease as she reclines on a couch. There are no clues pointing to how she’ll wind up in this timeline, but her outfit is completed by a pair of headphones covering her ears while she surveys her surroundings.
This is most certainly from the same Earth as the furniture appears to be from the 1970s, which is consistent with previously revealed set photographs that showed Loki and Sylvie visiting a Mcdonald’s restaurant around that time period.

It’s hardly shocking to get a brief glimpse of Eugene Cordero’s Casey in this new teaser given that he has recently been promoted to a series regular. In addition, this is the first time his admirers have seen him leave the convenience of his desk at TVA headquarters and travel down a dim tunnel or corridor.
However, it does hint that Casey might be required for assistance on one of Loki’s impending missions during Season 2 despite there being no indication of where or when this may be in space or time. Casey will finally get to witness what the Multiverse is really capable of.
8.) Hunter B-15 Looking the Part | loki season 2 official trailer
With one brief clip in the teaser, Hunter B-15 from Wunmi Mosaic makes her triumphant return to Loki Season 2 while donning her most elaborate outfit to date. The actress is seen looking attentively ahead at something while sporting a vivid orange shirt and noticeable gold jewelry on her forehead and neck.
While it’s possible that this is the B-15 from the TVA, it’s also possible that it’s another Minuteman variant from one of her many lifetimes on Earth. However, judging on the intense expression on her face, it’s probably the TVA in disguise as she collaborates with Loki and Mobius to correct the timeline.
9.) Zaniac Makes His Big Screen Debut in the MCU | loki season 2 official trailer
As fans discover that Loki and Mobius are going a movie premiere, where the poster for a movie starring Kumail Nanjiani’s Kingo was also seen, they are dressed to the nines. The two are waiting in line to watch “Zaniac,” a movie with this premiere that will include yet another iconic figure from Marvel history.
A less well-known comic book character named Zaniac has connections to both Dormammu and the Dark Dimension, both of which were depicted in the 2016 film Doctor Strange. And given Loki’s and Strange’s close ties to the Multiverse, this might be a precursor to far more perilous events.

Judge Ravonna Renslayer, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is seen for the first time since entering a portal in her office in Season 1, Episode 6, however she appears very different this time. She is now visible wearing all white and is observed being detained in a holding area with a very worried expression on her face.
Since she appears to be somewhat defeated in her cage, all of these elements tend to suggest that this is the same Renslayer from Season 1 rather than a Variant. She’ll be a vital player to watch out for as the TVA seeks to restore itself because of her probable emotional and romantic links to Kang from the comics.
11.) Loki’s Magic versus TVA Agents | loki season 2 official trailer
Loki has a brief opportunity to unleash his powers, but it must be in the context of a conflict with TVA soldiers. The main character, played by Hiddleston, fights off two soldiers inside the TVA’s headquarters while hurling a green energy blast towards one of their chests.
The God of Mischief and his team may engage in a fierce conflict as they attempt to make sense of the Sacred Timeline chaos, but this might also bring another Loki Variant into play.

During their trip to the theater, Mobius can be seen standing between two Loki characters as they don their black and white tuxedos. There are a few possible scenarios for what might be occurring at this very moment given the involvement of the Multiverse and the God of Mischief’s powers.
It’s possible that Loki is projecting a duplicate of himself next to Mobius using his ability to duplicate himself, or it’s possible that a different Loki has crossed dimensional barriers and entered this time period. Who knows how this will turn out with Tom Hiddleston’s iconic MCU character neck deep in Multiversal mayhem.
13.) Mobius in outer space | loki season 2 official trailer
Agent Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, is briefly visible gazing into the light while donning a full-fledged spacesuit, presumably setting him up for a mission in space.
He could be blending in with some sort of space mission with the Russians or the United States during the Space Race in the 1950s and 1960s, or this could be something through the TVA to directly aid in the fight against Kang. While Mobius’ primary interest is in jet skis, he’s bound to come across something incredibly amazing if he actually is traveling outside the Earth’s atmosphere.
14.) Information about Renslayer’s Replacement | loki season 2 official trailer
The TVA’s courtroom’s dais, which is currently occupied by a new judge sporting a red-and-gold sash, will be seen once more by viewers. Ravonna Renslayer has been replaced as the TVA’s Judge, even though it’s unknown who the actor or character in this picture is.
This might pave the way for Renslayer to take a more sinister turn, or it might just indicate that in an emergency, someone else should have filled her job.

In the final scene of the trailer, Loki and Mobius share a table together, exactly as they did in Season 1, Episode 2, when Mobius was attempting to eat his lunch. This time, Loki urges Mobius to avoid viewing him negatively in their next mission, and as a result, he names other MCU characters who did.
This features the original six Avengers, Phil Coulson, Odin, Thor, Nick Fury, Miss Minutes, and even Mobius himself as he reflects on his more than ten years of straddling the right and wrong in the MCU. Even if Loki doesn’t always have connections to the Avengers movies, Season 2 viewers shouldn’t just focus on this one.

While Loki Season 1 served as the show’s official introduction to the Multiverse, Season 2 will explore a variety of other outlandish concepts over the course of its six episodes.
Following up on his efforts as the main antagonist in February’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Jonathan Majors is expected to have a greater impact on this new season than he did on Season 1. It will be difficult to reverse his influence over the TVA, especially given that by the time Earth’s Mightiest Heroes appear in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2025, he is almost certainly going to be even more powerful.
A new narrative that should be exciting will be introduced thanks to the Multiverse, time travel, and the God of Mischief himself. This story already appears to have significant implications as the Multiverse Saga moves on.
