Two months before Arthur Curry’s return to the big screen, the MPA made the rating for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom public.

According to Filmratings.com, the Upcoming King of the Seven Seas Movie Has a Pg-13 Classification for “Sci-Fi Violence and Some Language,” Which Is a Standard Rating for Most Dc Extended Universe Films. a Fresh Synopsis and the First Trailer for the Lost Kingdom Were Already Made Public.


Returning director James Wan talked on the adjustments he made to The Lost Kingdom to make it fit into the new DC Universe, saying that he made them “all along the road.” Wan continued by saying, “The DCU has undergone numerous changes, so one of the difficult aspects of this movie was keeping track of what was happening. Thankfully, the Aquaman universe is quite cut off from the outside world.”

Later, in another interview, Wan would discuss the independence of The Lost Kingdom, saying, “Well, Aquaman has always been a fairly solo movie, even in the first movie. Our strategy has always been that it sort of exists in its own realm, and we kind of took the same approach with The Lost Kingdom.

Changing the subject to a potential Aquaman 3 film, Wan claimed that the project is set up in The Lost Kingdom and should focus on character growth. With the second picture, Wan and his team of producers “put up some things in a nice location that you can definitely draw from in a third [feature],” Wan claimed. A recent rumor, however, stated that test screening attendees left the theater because of a scene in The Lost Kingdom where Arthur Curry Jr./Aquababy dies.

On December 20, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be shown in theaters.
